The Man who plead in the train everyday to educate the children : Meet Proffessor Sandeep Desai

If you donate food to hunger it can worth for few hour but if you educate the person he/she can able to eat the food by own forever : Said Prof. Sandeep Desai

In this country education is major issue to be solved, and there are lots of people who are working day and night for those who can not afford better education even they never see the books, Prof. Sandeep Desai is one of them.

Sandeep Desai, a former marine engineer and a management professor, started this journey in September, 2010 just before his Birthday which comes on October month. And before started to 'beg' on a train Prof. Sandeep Desai  spent the half of September in 2010 trying to convince his colleagues to not disown him for what they called an ‘degrading’ idea.

One day, he successfully convinced his co-trustee, Professor Nurul Islam to accompany him. His co-trustee, Nurul agreed to stand at a distance and watched as sandeep try to convince passengers on a train to contribute money to build English medium schools in villages.

Prof. Sandeep was a familiar face on Mumbai’s local trains in 2012. Everyday he requested to passengers in overcrowded local trains to donate him for running English Medium Schools for underprivileged children in rural Maharashtra.

In between 2010 and 2012 Prof. Sandeep raised more than 50 lakh to run schools. How difficult it was the journey for him not only to raise the money but it is hard to convince peoples to donate the money, but Prof. Sandeep's hardwork pays off.

There are a lot of young children in India who are unable to receive education. If these children are getting support and are being educated then we all have to stand with him and support.

Six years ago, Pro. Sandeep has one school in the drought-hit Yavatmal district in Maharashtra and three in Sipur, Sadakadi and Naijhar villages in Udaipur. The school in Yavatmal has more than 200 students.

The three schools in Udaipur’s tribal belt have more than 300 students in total and seven teachers. The school in Yavatmal and one in Udaipur have already received government recognition.

Anyone who want to donate for his schools, just donate to his schools. Remember there are plenty of children who is still looking for the education. Your every contribution makes them educated. Here are the Bank Details
